Marathi film Tingya sent to the Oscars

Many deserving movies are overlooked for Oscars
February 24, 2008 -Oscars or any other awards, very good movies are often overlooked. Formerly there used to be 10 and the number was reduced to 5, and thus deprived most of the good movies to gain the honor of Oscars or any other prestigious award. It is obvious that there can be error in judgement, but if those very good movies are excluded for nomination, it is unfortunate and unjust.
FFI recommends Eklavya for Oscors
Mumbai: October 19, 2007 – The Film Federation of India (FFI) has decided on Monday to send Eklavya: The Royal Guard to the Oscars, ending days of controversy over its entry. The FFI decided its nomination before Wednesday, the deadline given by the AAA to FFI.
