Students storm streets, France in a state of Revolution again?

High anxiety is seen once again in France. Students have come out of their universities and are gathered at the streets to lodge protests.Not only Students but also teachers, professors, lecturers, workers, labor union leaders,the jobless,the retired and so on, all have joined the protest. Their combined action has posed a serious threat to the French Govt.

On Thursday, hundreds of thousands of protesters filled the streets and marched in cities throughout France, and an even larger nationwide protest aimed at bringing more than a million marchers into the streets was planned for Saturday. The protests have begun to invade middle-class city life.

The police are, however, trying their best to suppress protests, which is centered at the heart of Paris.

President Jacques Chirac and his Ministers are pleading for dialogue. Opposition politicians with their eyes on presidential elections next year are fanning the flames of discontent.

Masked protesters in the Seventh Arrondissement of Paris hurled rocks at anti-riot police from the small park in front of the chic Bon Marché department store. The police fought back with tear gas.

Some protesters lobbed tear gas canisters Not 1968 revisited. But there is a great deal of political drama.
