CBI back on Krishna, since Talwar proving innocent

New Delhi, India: June 21, 2008 -  IR Summary/ Agencies - Aarushi murder has either some new development on daily basis or some old wine in new bottle, the CBI has to keep the people guessing that they are seriously doing their job irrespective of its conclusive results. It is really unfortunate, no one can doubt on the sincere efforts of CBI, simply they should not over-react.

The CBI has again accused Krishna as main accused, it looks that he and Talwar are soft targets for them. The needle of suspicion seems to be pointing now more and more towards compounder Krishna and domestic help Raj Kumar.

If the CBI thinks that Krishna and Kumar are the main culprits, then why they are holding Dr. Rajesh Talwar and harassing him unnecessarily?

Mr. Talwar was subjected to another lie detector test on Friday and there was nothing objectionable found against him, still CBI is holding him tight for no apparent reasons.

Talwar has maintained since the murder that he could not hear any noise that night because of the sound made by the air conditioners in his and Aarushi's rooms.

The CBI had asked for an opinion from forensic experts who reconstructed the entire episode. The experts have now reported to the agency that what Talwar says is true.

A CBI official involved in Talwar's lie detector test on Friday said late in the evening that the test could not elicit any reply to carry forward the allegation of his involvement in the case against him.

Meanwhile, in another development which suggests that the agency is zeroing in on Krishna and Duranis' help Raj Kumar, the CBI quizzed some Noida police officials for their failure to seize the belongings of the two servants.

Joint director Arun Kumar said that the clothes which Krishna was wearing that night could be missing and information about them has been sought from the Noida cops.

But what seems strange is that CBI has sought information about Krishna's clothes only now after he has been in the agency custody for more than two weeks.

The agency also wanted to know from the cops why they couldn't find the khukri which was later seized from Krishna's room by the CBI but they are mum on the result of Khukri.

The khukri has been sent for forensic examination. The agency also wanted to know why Raj Kumar's role was not looked into by the Noida police when it was well known that he was closely associated with Krishna and Hemraj.

The statements made by Krishna from time to time under pressure do not match with each other and tests under which he was forced to go also did not give anything new; all statements given by him vary from each other.

If it is a question for CBI to save its prestige, they should not think that way; it should go fair without any ride, anyone who is not guilty should be released and that’ll enhance its prestige rather than lowering it. The people have full faith in CBI, they should rest assure, they should act fair.
