Amitabh Bachchan repudiated the charges against him

Mumbai, India: April 20, 2008 – IR Summary – There are wild allegations leveled against Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bachchan that he had manipulated the incidents of bottle thrown on his house during the MNS campaign against North Indians.

Reacting to it, Amitabh Bachchan dismissed the reports saying it is rubblish. The reports are real and genuine. He said he had video and proper photographic evidence. The police have done investigation in this regard.

Amitabh Bachchan felt sorry on those people and sources who blamed him and alleged to have manipulated the bottle throwing incidents.

The words to the effect are: "I have evidence of video and photos to prove it. The Police and their high officials have investigated the matter and prepared proper reports.

"If some one still feels being manipulated they are so wrong. You take care of me so much but I feel I do not possess so much. But as I said, this is a free country and everyone has the right to his own speech.'' Amitabh Bachchan is reported to have written a blog responding to some queries from bloggers."

He said, ''If I, then let have done wrong the law of the land shall prevail. Punish me if it so pleases. I will not debate it. The questions on my buying land or my farmer status is still sub-judice, so I cannot make any comments on that yet.

He added that he shall wait for the judgment to come and whichever way it goes he shall respect the verdict.

Amitabh said his wife Jaya's recent walk out from Parliament was her right as an MP.

''If there is motive in that, then let the Parliament take action. Amar Singhji is like a family member and his politics or for that matter the politics of Bala Saheb Thackeray or Mr Advani or any other political head, who have friendly and family relations with us, have never been a barrier,'' he said.

''They do not interfere in my films, I do not interfere or comment on their politics. Just because Mr Bill Clinton writes to me does not make me a Democrat in the US,'' he added.
