Poll: Australians hatched conspiracy against India ? - BCCI to abandon the tour
MIL/IR Survey, Jan 8, 2008. Author: IR Summary
New Delhi, India: January 8, 2008 – IR Summary -98% survey of the cricket lovers want BCCI to abandon the Australian tour and boycott the Australian Cricket unless they cancel the 2nd test, change both the Umpires and apologize.
People feel that Sharad Pawar does not want to take a bold step since he wants to remain as Chairman even in future. He apprehends that he may lose the chair if he supports to take some harsh action.
The members of the BCCI working committee are so weak that in their emergency meeting, which they are holding this evening , shall only restrict to Harbhajan Singh’s case and nothing else. The change of Umpiring is a slight request which they shall just discuss as a formalaity and the Australians may agree to remove only one Umpire and not both.
International Reporter has conducted a survey and interviewed cricket lovers from all districts of Delhi and Gurgaon,Noida and Ghaziabad, and their opinion is as under:
(a) 98% Cricket lovers said Australia has intentionally and deliberately let down India just they never wanted to let the graph of their own record go down due to Indians. The Australians wanted to win at all costs, with measures, that could go to any low.
(b) 94% said that the tour should be abandoned.
© 95% said that it was pre-designed and an arrangement in connivance with the Umpires to out the key players on any lame excuse so that they could win the 2nd test.
(d) 93% said that the motto of the Australian team was a fixed understanding with the Umpires and they played foul against India in First Test and so in the 2nd. Both the Umpires should be removed with warning.
(e) 97% said that the Australian players do not have the guts to face the truth. They instigated Andrew Symonds to level some false allegations against Harbhajan Singh, since he was proving to be dynamic all rounder.
(f) 98% said it was a great collected conspiracy, hatched by Australian team and the Umpires against India, since they wanted to prove that they are the world champions for all times.
(g) 87% want that India should boycott with Australian Cricket and they should not be invited to India for any game nor India should visit their country to play any match.
When IR asked the Cricket lovers during the survey that India could lose India $ 2 million (approx Rs 7.85 crore) fine from the ICC if it refuses to continue with the tour, 99% persons said, “ India’s integrity is more important than this petty amount.” 63% said, “ If the BCCI appeals we can contribute much more than they lose as a fine.”
How pity it is that Sharad Pawar and the committee members are more concerned about Pawar’s chair on one hand and about the fine on the other.
The Cricket fans have rightly said that India’s prestige is more important than petty money that they are after.
