Sydney, Australian: January 5, 2008 – IR Summary - Australia’s situation is controlled by Matthew Hayden, who scored his second century of the series today to equal Don Bradman's career tally of 29 test hundreds.

Though Australia was 282 for fourt at stumps in the second inning, the chances of victory are no where. The pscychological superiority among the Australian players has proved wrong. The match is likely to be drawn.India has proved better in the Ist inning and Tandulkar's unbeaten knock frustrted the entire Australian team.

Australia started the day on 13-0 and looking to score quick runs in the hope of pushing for a victory to equal their own world record of 16 consecutive test wins.

Australia lost two wickets before and two after Tea. There is only a chance of an honorable draw, since both teams are equally able and competent.
