Amritsar, Punjab, India: January 5, 2008 – IR Summary -It is reported that Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) has opened branches in Punjab to enroll maximum numbers of available volunteers, who are supporters of Babbar Khalsa International, and after enrolment they are shifted to a special camp in India as well as Pakistan for training and then to use them against India.
It has further come to light that Wadhawa Singh Babbar, the Chief of Khalsa International (BKI) is reported to be under the influence of ISI to create terror in Punjab
As per their hatched plan, four militants devised a plot to kill Baba Piara Singh Bhaniarawala, so as to give fire to the communal riots in Punjab. The plan was to assassinate Baba on January 5.
Unfortunately for them and good luck to the people, the Delhi Police special cell sleuths nabbed four militants who allegedly wanted to eliminate Baba Piara Singh.
It was revealed that some other religious leaders and politicians of Punjab are in the hit list of BKI militants.
Wadhawa Singh and his BKI associates have been given shelter in Pakistan. As reported by Mail Today, authorities in Pakistan have ensured that Wadhawa set up a new safe house close to the Punjab border.
Joint commissioner, special cell, Karnal Singh said:
“Mentors of BKI are trying hard to pull off some terrorist activities in Punjab. For this, they are providing financial and logistic support to the militants.”
In fact, police have recovered four pistols and 124 live cartridges, provided to the four militants by Pakistan. During interrogation, the militants said ISI was pumping arms and ammunition through the BKI militants into India to serve their deadly purpose.
The four militants were nabbed from Patiala and Sangrur districts of Punjab. They have been identified as Baljeet Singh, Bikkar Singh, Kulwinderjeet Singh and Trilochan Singh. They also have their network in Delhi, which police are investigating.
All the militants had done a dry-run of Baba Piara Singh’s security arrangements to eliminate him. They had planned to take weapons wrapped with plastic in a milk container. They had decided to execute their plan on Saturday, added Karnal Singh as per the Mail Today.
The Govt. of Punjab, Indian Intelligence and the Govt. of India should take this issue seriously and take all proper measures so that ISI should not be able to misguide the BKI to spread terror in India.
