Islamabad, Pakistan: October 16, 2007 –(IR Summary) - Karachi, Pakistan, October 1, 2007 - Former Prime Minister and PPP Chief Benazir Bhutto is likely to fly from Dubai to Karachi, Pakistan, on Thursday after a long struggle and exile abroad and has decided to face the charges.

The Chief Minister of Sindh province Arbab Ghulam Rahim has ordered to remove all PPP flags and festoons on Govt. Buildings at Karachi so as to pave smooth way for her come back as per press reports.

Mrs.Bhutto agreed to return to Pakistan after striking a political deal with President Pervez Musharraf, who signed a National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) earlier this month, even though the same has been stayed by the Supreme Court. Irrespective of the stay by the Supreme Court, Mrs. Bhutto decided to return to Pakistan, what come may.

There have been divergent reports about Bhutto whether she would like to come to Pakistan in such circumstances, but she remained bold and said that she would stick to plans.

As per the laws of the land, the stay accorded by the Supreme Court would  mean that all cases against Bhutto would be restored against her as well as her husband, Asif Ali Zardari.

Confirming the results of the stay by the Supreme Court, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz  said on Sunday that Bhutto was free to return to Pakistan even if past corruption charges remain levied against her.

Interviewed on CNN, Aziz said, "The people have had a strong reaction to removal of corruption cases against Ms Bhutto."

She told a TV channel on Monday that Musharraf would not have problems by her return, but the ruling Pakistan Muslim League (Qaid), however, did.

Despite Aziz's current posture on CNN, media reports have said that PML(Q) has been unhappy with Bhutto as it would have to share power with her party.
