New Delhi:July 12, 2007 (Thursday) – The inconvenience being faced by public without Blueline- Buses, has put an all round pressure that these  Buses, which have a bad record of killing several people due to rash driving and inexperienced drivers, should be made safer rather than discontinuing their services once for all.

More than dozens of passengers are hanging at the door of the Bus   and that is more risky that the service of Bluelines. Most of the passengers cannot afford scooters and taxies to go to their offices and to come therefrom. The distance is long, so they cannot cover it even on foot, whom to blame?

The taxies are not easily available due to strike of the Bluelines and scooter drivers are demanding lot of money from the public. Over and above, the scooters lone cannot cope up the rush. The scarcity of buses is acute and an alternative is to be thought of urgently to save the public from being suffered without their fault.

Even the Delhi High Court has issued notice to the Delhi government, asking it why the privately run Blueline buses, which have caused at least 60 deaths this year, should not be replaced by safer buses
In fact the Blueline Buses should not only be blamed for avoidable deaths occur on the roads of Delhi, but also the main  blame lies on the Police who has given them long liberty of driving rash on the road without check and  that too without qualified drivers.

It is the duty of the Delhi Traffic Police to maintain law and order on the roads. Without keeping the speed of the buses in check, you cannot avoid dozens of deaths by Bluelines drivers.

If the police take more preventive than the punitive measures the Blueslines can be safer and the public can be saved from being suffered and it is the only immediately violable alternative is left.

The main problem is that the police prefer to challan rather than to take preventive measures, and that hindrance  on the road also enhances the chances of accidents.

Moreover, the police does not educate the Bluelines Buses not to compete eachother by overtaking eachother in speed, which increases the risk of accidents.

Who is wrong and who is right, let the public decide.
