Cricket team announced for 2 IDs against Sri Lanka

February 3, 2007 - The Indian selectors have announced the team for the first 2 ODIs against Sri Lanka, to be played in Kolkata and Rajkot on February 8 and 11 respectively.

The nawab of Najafgarh Virender Sehwag makes a comeback to Team India after being rested for the entire series against Brian Lara's men.

Munaf Patel, who suffered an ankle injury during the tour of South Africa, is also back.

This means that the Indian team will now have the services of five pacers and two specialist spinners.

However, Ramesh Powar, Suresh Raina and Gautam Gambhir have been dropped from the squad for the first two ODIs.
