Bhagalpur, Apr. 27 - Mrs. Ranjana Jha, who claimed to be the first and original wife of famous Bollywood singer Udit Narayan, is now being supported openly and through press by Udit's relatives, friends and villagers.

The readers who know Udit in person and well aware of his old background have sent their feedback to International Reporter that Ranjana Jha is the legal wife of Udit Narayan.  They traced his history and said that Udit and Ranjana were married and were living in a poor state of life.

All villagers who know Udit are not ready to accept Deepa as the celebrity's bahu, they solemnly declared that Ranjana Jha is the only women, the only wife and none else.

Udit's maternal cousin Mahadeo Jha said that the Udit's relatives only recognize Ranjana Jha as his wife and do know about any other lady by the name of Deepa.

Feedback:

Hi
I am Manoj Mishra, an Electronics & Communication engineer. My home is just next villege mainakarari near Udit Narayan Jha 's home Bhardaha.

As far as I know Ranjana Jha is his first wife. This is the true. Udit Narayan Jha was very poor at that time. He had hand to mouth problems. After success he forgot all these things. He is a Maithil Brahmin. But Deepa is a backward cast Pahari not brahamin. In my opinion Udit must keep her with him.

There are also several rebuttals to Udit's claim from other sources like Times of India, which strongly suggest that Udit's real wife is Ranjana and he is simply trying to shield Deepa and wants to escape from the charge of bigamy.

Mahadeo told TOI over phone that Udit had visited Baisi at least thrice with Ranjana. "Himmat Hai to Deepa aur Aditya (their son) ko lekar apne nanihaal Baisi aaye, Mumbai mein jhootha bayan dene se kuchh nahin hoga."

Another villager Amir Mishra, who is the immediate neighbor of Udit's maternal grandfather, also told TOI over phone on Tuesday that Udit's recent statements about his wife Ranjana was enough to dent the prestige of Mithilanchal.

"I am shocked to note that money has compelled him (Udit) to forget the ethics and culture of Mithila. It was the prayer and wishes of a Mithila daughter that he attained name and fame in the world of music. Without Ranjana, Udit Narayan is 'Daridra Narayan' for us," he told.
