The Samajwadi Party is expected to emerge as the majority party in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, 2012, say various exit polls. However, the final result for UP elections may see altogether different results. As the final polling phase comes to a close, television channels are predicting a regime change, with Mayawati’s BSP losing to Mulayam’s party. The BJP is expected to emerge as the number three contender in the race, knocking down Congress to fourth place. It’s just not UP which is waiting for the election results. As a matter of fact, the entire nation is keenly watching the political progress of UP elections.
The final picture will emerge only once whole results are out but based on exit poll predictions, the SP is set to emerge as the clear winner. Even then, as say the exit polls, it would be short of around fifty seats. If exit polls prove right, then it would be a major setback for Congress, for Rahul Gandhi in particular, who has been campaigning for early one year and had made it his top priority to remove Mayawati-led BSP. It would be interesting to see which party really wins. We would keep you posted as soon as the results start pouring in.[poll id="11"]
