One of the four American peace activists kidnapped in Iraq has been found dead in Baghdad, their organisation confirmed. It is a gross violation of the human rights on the part of Iraq, which must be condemned, Natiaonal Integration Assembly Chairman Dr. Raj Baldev said in New Delhi on Saturday.
Christian Peacemaker Teams said on Friday in a statement on its website that the body of Tom Fox, 54, was found on Thursday. He was from the mid-Atlantic state of Virginia.
Hindustan Times writes: He and three fellow activists, two Canadians and a Briton were abducted in November last year by a group called the "Swords of Righteousness Brigade".
In a statement on the Christian Peacemaker Teams website, the group offered condolences to Fox's family.
"The death of our beloved colleague and friend pierces us with pain," the statement said.
