Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has been barred from bowling in a Ranji Trophy match between Bengal and Tamil Nadu at the Eden Gardens.

Ganguly was barred for straying onto the pitch in his follow-through. He had so far picked up three wickets and taken a catch in Tamil Nadu's first innings

Sourav had been asked by the BCCI to play the match after missing Bengal's previous two Ranji Trophy ties against Gujarat and Karnataka.

Ganguly will not be travelling with the Indian team to Pakistan on Thursday but will now be leaving on Friday along with Anil Kumble, Virender Sehwag and Parthiv Patel. Photo Credit AP
