Immediately after being declared as India's first Fame Jodi along with Qazi Touqeer, last night, Ruprekha Bannerjee changed her mind and gave a new version which surprised the people when she said:-
"Rex aur meri kabhi jami nahi. We had good chemistry on screen but he used to tease me a lot and I didn't like that. It totally put me off. I always apprehend a sort of danger from him."
This statement does not match to her earlier mind that she hinted to the public from time to time. This statement has hurt the Rex's fans and they never expected such a statement from Ruprekha.
The Gurukul drama kept the people in suspense for a long time. The judges had given their mind to the people, particularly Mr. Javed that his preference would be male and female in the Fame Jodi rather than two male singers.
The people have still a doubt whether the Gurukul Anchors have based their result on the actual voting of the people.
The viewpoints of the three top singers by Tushar Joshi in the Mid Day may interest the readers:
Qazi
I'm on top of the world. Maine pehle se hi bola tha ki main jeetunga! My parents told me there was no way I could be a singer but I have proved them wrong. All those who said, "You cannot sing," have been silenced forever.
Ruprekha
I'm so thrilled! As far as Rex being voted out is concerned, meri aur uski kabhi jami nahi. However, there is no denying that we shared great chemistry on screen. But I always felt I faced a certain khatra from him. I didn't want his popularity to overshadow mine.
Rex
I told Qazi, "Aaj Veeru mar jayega aur Jai Basanti ko le jayega." I think there are no losers today, only winners. If there is anyone whose name will be remembered after the Fame Jodi it is me, and I'm proud of that.
My most emotional moment on the show was when I was called back after being eliminated and Ila Arunji cried for me.
Also I knew for sure that Qazi would win - no one could stop him. I also was sure that the audience would want a boy-girl jodi, so I realised my chances were bleak. I am happy for both of them, especially Qazi.
Despite what the public think, he is my best friend.
