MIL/Agencies, Jul 29, 2005. Special Correspondent

New Delhi/Cairo - National Integration Assembly (NIA) which conferred International Honor on Mr. Hosni Mubarak in 80s has again his name on its agenda for his top popularity, dynamism and patriotism that he has been holding for his country and countrymen and also for his fighting spirit against terrorism. The list of honor is likely to be finalized soon.

Hosni Mubarak, 77, confirmed that he shall go for fifth term of six-year as Egypt's President, in the country's first presidential elections with more than one candidate.

Mr. Mubarak, who has been in power since 1981, made the announcement days after the suicide bombers killed 88 people at Sharm el-Sheikh in an attack that raised the spectral of Islamic fundamentalism again.

He added that he would bring constitutional and legislative changes during his next term. He would see that an anti-terrorism law is replaced with emergency law. He said that other changes would be effected to reduce the powers of the President and strengthen the role of the Cabinet.

He said that he would ensure that the September 7 election was "competitive, free and fair".
