8 Things to know about Google’s newly introduced phone

People all over the world have been anxiously awaiting Google’s phone for a long me. However,Google has eventually captured that long waiting of the people and the anxious moments are over now. No  peculations anymore, face the reality; Google phone dubbed Nexus One has finally hit the shelves this week. In what can be termed, Internet giant's most ambitious launch, Google phone dubbed Nexus One is aimed to take on the might of Nokia, Apple and Blackberry. It is a new styled and update revolution crafted by Google highly successful and would meet the world's long awaited demands directly at the fastest speed.
 

The Super-phone, as Google calls it, seems high on features. We run you through eight points that you need to know about the Google's new phone, Nexus One.

Unlike Apple's iPhone, Google phone is not operator locked. Though the phone has the backing of the some major networks across the globe (TMobile, Verizon in US and Vodafone in UK).

Also, Google will reportedly handle all sales online and has no plans to let consumers check out the Nexus One in retail stores.

     
Nexus One comes with a noise-reduction feature that  cancels out background noise during phone calls.

The phone runs on Android Mobile Technology Platform 2.1 software, the top version of the mobile operating system from Google. Nexus One is the first mobile phone to run on Android 2.1 OS. Also, the phone runs on 1Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

However, according to analysts it probably will be a long time before Nexus One can offer as many different tools as the iPhone, which boasts more than 100,000 applications compared with Android's 18,000.

Nexus One also knows how to keep itself clean. The phone has a teflon coated back which repels dust and some dirt which mobile phones encounter on a daily basis (when kept in pockets or on desks or tables).

Google designed the touch-screen phone in partnership with Taiwan's HTC Corp, which made the first Android-powered phone. The company is manufacturing Nexus One too .

Nexus One is priced at $529, and can be unlocked from any GSM carrier. Google is also offering the phone for $179, with a two-year contract from TMobile . Thus, technically speaking the imported device will be available in Indian market, within a few weeks, through unofficial channel.More
