Check global climate to save the Earth? Dr. Raj Baldev, God Believers Series -2

MIL/God Believers/ Henry Groover, Nov 10, 2009

San Diago, California: November 10, 2009 - Henry Groover's interview with Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, Lead Man of God Believers, World Peace & Earth Saving Mission (WP&ESM).

Dr. Raj Baldev in his continued interview said the fact is that we people, from any country, are recklessly and wildly burning too much fossil fuel, like coal, oil and gases, annihilating maximum forests and fields and pastures in a careless manner and that is affecting our climate, which is changing  hazardously making our future life miserable.  This danger has been recognized by all, but they are not coming forward to check it outright seriously and urgently. God may save the Earth!

In 1992, the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro made a misleading agreement under international law to stabilize greenhouse-gas concentrations at a level at which a dangerous disruption of the climate system could be avoided. If we go by record, the Kyoto Protocol only followed after five years, about three dozen industrialized  nations and former Eastern Block states, committed to reduce the emissions of climate gases but nothing happened, all went in vain, no one proved to honor the commitment of emissions, which means the promise made at Rio was ignored, and the Kyoto vow also fell flat.

Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, further said, : I would like to remind all those who wish to be interested to note this dangerous state of the Earth and its atmosphere, the global emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), the most vital  Climate gas, have increased by almost a third to some 30 billion tones a year.  The Western Industrialized countries, who had promised to reduce the limit of emissions in the Kyoto Protocol, on the contrary increased their output of climate gases since 1990. It might be by any reason but the danger is increasing."

Dr Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist and Lead Man of God Believers, World Peace & Earth Saving Mission, (WP&ESM) said ," It shall be justified to say that the humanity is faltering on the brink of a climate catastrophe, and if the balance of emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) is not taken care of urgently with great seriousness, there could be an irreparable damage, about one in ten of the world's population of seven billion people could lose their homes to rising sea levels as a result of climate damage.

"It is not that it can't be tackled, it can be checked right now and not later on; there should be will to understand the urgency and its action to tackle the climate change; the world has all technologies to control it but who would do it?

"Fake agreements and false promises can't work as was done earlier; the world shall have to be united to use energy more efficiently, replacing fossil fuels with renewable energies and changing our lifestyles to overcome the upcoming danger. The challenge is very grave and warrants immediate action to tackle the problem.

"So far as the scale of seriousness of the problem is concerned, the researchers agree that humanity could just cope with a temperature increases of some two degrees Celsius and over 100 countries is reported to have, however, promised to reduce the two-degree limit and the heads of state and government of the G8 nations also signed up to it at their summit in L'Aquila, Italy. Will it be possible and if so how?

"If this target of two-degree limit is achieved, the researchers feel that the humanity can only use a quarter of the known and economically accessible reserves of fossil fuels up to the year 2050. It is further reported that over the next four decades the emissions budget available to the humanity would be 750 billion tonne of CO2, and it would be used up in about half that time if present CO2  emission level is to continue." Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist said.

Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, Lead Man of God Believers, said, "The countries considered more responsible for this lapse includes United States for about half of the global emissions.

"The immediate issue is whether the countries as promised could achieve the level of two-degree target, it is still doubtful since emissions are growing in the developing and emerging countries. To achieve this target it is necessary to involve highly populated countries like India and China to cooperate.

"The researchers argue that China's per capita CO2  is 4.3 tonne, India's 1.1tonne, much less than that of the USA, which is 19 tonne, Germany's 10 tonne, and so on.

"Another aspect to note is that industrialized countries have 20% of the world's population and are responsible for three quarters of the carbon dioxide that has been pumped into the Earth's atmosphere since industrialization began; whereas the poor majority of humankind have hardy contributed anything at all to the climate problem so far.

"Each person, who is living on this earth, has his obligation to serve the Earth justifiably but at the same time he has also the fundamental right to use the Earth's atmosphere, which the industrialized countries have spoiled by making it a climate debts vis-vis the South. It is alarming since global emission of carbon dioxide (CO2  ) have increased by around a third since 1992 to approximately 30 billion tonne a year.

"In short, as per the recommendation of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the target of two-degree can only be achieved, if industrialized countries reduce their emissions by 25 to 40% by 2020 compared to 1990, Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist said.

"It is for the Copenhagen conference to consider it how this challenge is to be met, Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, Lead Man of God Believers, concluded.
