North Korea agrees to participate in talks

Seoul - "North Korea has agreed to revise its decision and has given its consent to return to participate in talks on the ending of its nuclear program in case the United States pledges "co-existence and non-interference," the North's envoy to the United Nations told a South Korean newspaper and other correspondents.
Deputy Ambassador Han Song-ryol also said that the North was interested to get an assurance from the United States that there should be substantive results from the negotiations if North Korea returns to join the talks. (Photo courtesy Turkish Press).
We want substantial results of the talks and also some justification to return to the talks and said that North Korea was ready to abandon the anti-US policy.
"The ball is now in the court of President Bush," he said.
