Has Charles Bitten Off More than he can chew?
MIL, Feb 18, 2005.
London-In Britain, a backlash against the second marriage of Charles, the Prince of Wales, is well under way despite him doing the right thing by marrying long time companion. There are those who approve and others who expect Charles to set the right standards.
According to a psychologist" It doesn't help that his first wife, the late princess Diana, is pretty much a goddess in people's eyes. Royalty, which gives an aura of poshness to Britain certainly doesn't set standards for the people.
It has become the pastime of the newspapers to report every breath the royal couples take further aggravating the unhappy and happy, the rather divided public opinion.
Accroding to Vanguard "Through all her tribulations in the hands of her husband the Prince, the late Diana, Princess of Wales always managed to strike me as being as much a victim as her husband himself. Diana, who looked every inch like the regular waif after years of mind wracking bouts of anorexia and bulimia, tended to appear to be the victim and to get all the sympathy. She was the one who, after all, gave her all to her ‘knight in shiny armour’ with all the good faith of a nineteen year old and the optimism of a broken- home child who had determined that somehow, she would have a better marriage than her parents did."
There were reports in the Melbourne Herald of the 'Queen' being livid at the change of wedding venue.
We asked people in a survey of what they think. Most people tend to think that the Prince is also a man and has the right to get married to the love of his life. But then the people surveyed were not part of England.
We wish Charles and Camilla the best of wishes for a peaceful and happy life !
