No low-tech attacks by Al-Qaida on US targets?
MIL, Feb 17, 2005. Editorial

A U.S. Security Official said that the next terrorist attack in the United States by al-Qaida or other groups could be by car bomb or other low-tech weapon. According to our resources, the al-Qaida group has postponed any type of low scale attack on the US targets  for the time being.

Their group is of course trying their best to get weapons of mass destruction and so it may not be interested to attack with low-tech weapons on US targets as US Security officials anticipate.

This may be true that the al-Qaida group leaders have accelerated their efforts to capture the desired information from within the US Security how to lay their hands on  lethal weapons to plan different simultaneous big attacks on US targets.
The group feels that its security is smarter than the US Security and can dodge the officials in their own way.

There does not seem to be any immediate chance of al-Qaida or its affiliated groups to use chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear weapons as anticipated by CIA Director Porter Goss.

The al-Qaida group is not only in search of the right time to strike with right type of weapons, which they are still to procure, but it  is also  expecting to tap some US security men to help their cause.

We feel that the report of CIA Director Porter Goss, as he told the Senate Intelligence Committee, lacks accuracy, it seems to have over stated his fear. If the al-Qaida group attacks with low-tech as visualized by the US Security top officials, it loses its terrorizing image.

So far Osman bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahin are concerned, they are likely to be either in Pakistan or in Iraq, or divided,  the ball is in US hands to find them out.

The most important aspect of the story is that  their Islamic group is so loyal that it may not be possible for the US Security forces to locate them so easily unless they succeed in purchasing  the loyalty of some key  Muslim Extremists, who are closely associated  with the al-Qaida missionaries.

It is a difficult job, any person from their group may not be available for any deal so easily. It is up to the US Security men to chalk out their right strategy rather than to spread panic.
