New York - The first major storm winter season at a speed of 30-50 an hour affected New York and much of the Northeast on Saturday and is continuingly disturbing even now. It has sneered from the Midwest and turned into a classic northeast, moving up to the East Coast.
It has gathered the moisture of the ocean and threw back at the land as snow blanketing cities and towns making the travel impossible with over 1000 flights cancelled and motorists warned to obey certain precautions.
The snow is falling continuously and has so far covered 1 to 2 feet and some area is above than that and is still swelling. It is an unusual snowstorm.
Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist from India said it is most probably due to full moon and a tidal surge in coastal areas. He had also given his comments on Tsunami that the occurrence was also due to one of the main reasons of Moon's position.
Heavy snow has severely affected many parts of the Midwest; the area of Chicago, in particular, is getting the biggest snowfall of its season.
In Connecticut, Gov. M. Jodi Rell ordered a state of emergency and directed operations to take effect when it was predicted that the coastal flooding in parts of New London and Middlesex Counties was threatening. Similarly, an emergency was declared in New York on Saturday prohibiting motor vehicles to park them at major arteries.
