Will Obama rise to the expectation of the world?

MIL, Nov 12, 2008

New Delhi, India: November 12, 2008 , MIL/ Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, Chairman, National Integration Assembly (NIA) - The successful election of Barack Obama has created a new trend all over the world, particularly the way he conducted his long presidential campaign and continuously built his image with his political opinions on all strategic issues, national as well as international, and got appreciated.

His success has created a special global impact of his personality; every leader envies how he changed the history of America, a Black President of America, on merit. The young and middle generations have changed the old tradition of America by choosing white President.

Even in Europe, there is euphoria of the personality of  Barack Obama, there are certain problems relating to their racial integration. Most the leaders, therefore, wish that the drift should also change in their region and some Obama should also rise there to sort out the problems of their cultural differences.

Even though there is a great difference between American and European cultures, still the people   wish Obama like personality to take the lead. If Americans can change their history and mind by preferring the national interest rather than restricting to their racial factors, why can’t Europe do it within their own region?

People have started feeling like Americans that it is the race that is keeping them behind others, which they have to discard with if they want to come up with the advancing global pace to move shoulder to shoulder with other countries, which they can’t aloof. The young generation is of the strong mind now that Europe must end their pre or postcolonial racial problems, if they are to keep pace with others.

There are certain countries in Europe which have deep racial culture that none can wipe out so easily. Practically speaking, the people, who are praising Obama, may not keep this tempo when he handles the issues before him. His assistants would be the same; if he changes the key men of President Bush, he shall have to face more problems, he may not be able to get proper briefing from a new team, hence he is supposed to tread carefully.

However, Obama’s victory is not a big revolution for certain immigrants to Europe in relation to their reasonable treatment with the minorities, that’s what    the general public feels.

In certain countries, the minorities have no important role to play except to cast their formal votes. In short, minorities are to suffer everywhere,   America or Europe?
In my opinion, it is a temporary phase. The people voted to Obama, not that they wanted a real change, but it was due to an anti vote that brought change  and not pro-voting.

It was just because the Americans wanted to get rid of the regime of President Bush and his party who had committed serials of blunders in his regime like Iraq War, failure to tackle terrorism. His policies brought one of the worst financial recessions in the world that cracked the entire industrial base of America.

The Americans made President Bush responsible for rendering millions of Americans out of job with his faulty policies that paralyzed every part of Industry within the country and compelled them to reduce their financial burden by retrenching their staff and reducing the size of their industries and institutions to the minimal that include banks, airways, auto industry among others.

I feel that the people have become emotional about the success of Obama, it’s a good sign of revolution; but the realities would soon come to the fore and the people would realize that he may not be able to do what they expect of him. The people are expecting miracles from him and that’s is not possible.

Obama is bound by law and the tradition of the American culture and financial limitation to grant aid or bailout, and that can’t change overnight, even though the Americans have successfully overturned the old rule of white President in the United States.

Don’t forget all Americans have not abandoned the racial factor, and they shall put more hurdle in his way as and when they get a chance to oppose some of his policies strongly.

Barack Obama, President elect, after taking charge, is to route through great number of impediments to get through nationally or internationally. It is still to ascertain whether Obama’ election has caused any real self-reflection among the people of America?

Don’t be swayed away by Obama’s victory, any President of America elected in such an adverse situation and recessing period will have to face much more problems than the previous Presidents.

The recession is world wide, certain bailouts are not the perfect solutions but they only act as a temporary breathing time. Each and every country is affected badly in this area, and it shall take at least three to four years for the whole world to restore their previous financial status that too possible with new frame of policies of restricting financial liberalization and by the time the position improves, another election shall be due.

There are many other minus points like loss of jobs by millions, where will they go, where is the new window for them to get new jobs? Where are the companies, who could offer them job opportunities? How Obama shall be able to cope up with this issue among others? Simply crime shall increase and the joblessness may add to terrorism to a certain extent?

Just wait and see, there is no need to be over excited on Obama’s victory, be practical.
