October 31, 2008: (Despatch from San Diago, California through MIL): Charan Lal Sahu, Advocate, Supreme Court, New Delhi - Presidential election in America is the most important event to happen in the first week of November, 2008, its result is not only linked with the Americans only but also the entire world, since the people all over the world consider America as Captain of the global economy and as and when US is affected, the whole world vibrates, however mighty the other nations might claim and it has happened and proved in recent months.
The sensitivity in America has considerably changed, the people have definitely a new conception of having comparatively a better President who may feel the right pulse of the nation and take right decisions to keep its raised head maintained.
Mr. Obama is maintaining his lead, with 51 percent of likely voters supporting him and there is no doubt in the minds of the people in their conviction of keeping strict to the policy of White and Black.
Irrespective of the racial preferences, the people simply want best President particularly at this critical stage of depression all over and America in particular. The people have seen Obama being the right choice who can deliver the goods, and they are mad to elect him irrespective of racial craze.
The people want Obama to be elected as President and succeed President Bush with new policies and live spirit, more peaceful and positive approach to lead the nation along with the international community, particularly in the area of economy and people’s interest and foreign correlation to maintain world peace and to save the Earth from the danger of O Zone and atmospheric changes.
As regards Mr. McCain, he has of course around 40 percent people supporting him but that’s not enough to be elected as President. His banking and reservoir on the racial factor has become history with the present generation and the new registered voters.
Moreover, the recent CBS News poll has shown that Senator John McCain’s running mate, Sarah Palin of Alaska, is not qualified to be Vice President, and that has weighed down the Republican ticket in the last days of the campaign. This is of course an added agony to McCain.
59 percent of voters surveyed said that Ms. Palin was not prepared for the job, up nine percentage points since the beginning of the month. Nearly a third of voters polled said the vice-presidential selection would be a major factor influencing their vote for president, and those voters broadly favor Senator Barack Obama, the Democratic nominee.
It is now believed that the choice of Ms. Palin has hurt Mr. McCain’s image, voters said they had much more confidence in Mr. Obama to pick qualified people for his administration than they have in Mr. McCain.
