A Software 2 Picasa releases Google: Google Inc. has released Picasa 2, free software aimed to make it easy for users to manage their digital picture collection. Picasa 2 is the latest version of the free picture software released by the company since Picasa takeover in July 2004.
Car bomb outside Australian Embassy in Baghdad kills 2 : Baghdad: A car bomb exploded outside the cement blast barriers of the Australian Embassy in central Baghdad on Wednesday, killing two people and wounding four, police and witnesses said. U.S Announces First Conviction In Oil-For-Food Probe : New York - The US Justice Department has announced the first conviction in connection with its investigation into abuses of the UN's oil-for-food program in Iraq. Samir Vincent, an Iraqi-American businessman, pleaded guilty in federal U.S. court to charges that he received payments from Saddam Hussein's regime for his illegal efforts at both trying to lift sanctions and undermining the UN's humanitarian program in Iraq. He is cooperating with U.S. authorities seeking to determine who violated U.S. laws in the scandalized UN program. SC rejects Jaya's plea against trial at Bangalore : New Delhi - Leaving no option for Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa but to face trial at Bangalore in the Rs 65 crore disproportionate assets case, the Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed her petition seeking stay on the trial and permission to argue for transfer of the case outside Karnataka. 26 dead in Baghdad blasts : AT least 26 people this morning died in a series of car bombs that rocked the Iraqi capital Baghdad, US military officials said. The first of the attacks came at 7am local time when a bomb-packed truck exploded outside the Australian Embassy in Baghdad, injuring two Australian soldiers.
