Bush scales back Pell Grant increase - President Bush pledged yesterday to increase federal grants to financially strapped college students, though offering less than he once pledged in a nod to mounting budget constraints. Speaking to a crowd at Florida Community College, Bush said he intended to increase the maximum Pell Grant from $4,150 this year to $4,550 over five years - a 12 percent increase that would cost $15 billion. Saturn moon probe sends images - Scientists have begun analysing pictures beamed back from Titan, the largest of Saturn's moons. The images were sent by the Huygens space probe as it descended by parachute to the moon's surface. A total of 350 images were relayed back to Earth by NASA's Cassini spacecraft, which carried Huygens to Saturn on a two-billion-mile journey lasting seven years.
