Tata wants to talk about Singur: Buddha

September 27, 2008 - West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya has said that Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata has replied to his letter and wants to talk.
Earlier, Buddhadeb wrote to Tata Motors asking them to start work in Singur, assuring the company full protection.
Ratan Tata, the Chairman of the Tata Group, had already written to Maharashtra Chief Minister, Vilasrao Deshmukh, on September 16 to discuss his offer of shifting the Nano plant to Maharashtra.
"We are examining various options in great detail. Tata Motors will thereafter hold discussions with your officials. I would like to call on you with Mr Ravi Kant following our discussions with your officials," Ratan Tata had said.
