New Delhi, India: August 30, 2008 - IR Summary/Agencies - Nepal has realized its blunder of not noting the crack of the angry Kosi River, and Foreign Minister Upendra Yadav has now apologized for the same saying that the breach went unnoticed on time and the repair work could not be undertaken on time.
"Nobody noticed the cracks in the beginning. When it was about to break a few people went there to repair it. But they had a feud with the local workers and the work stopped.
The next day the dam collapsed," says Upendra Yadav. Meanwhile, Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar has called for a meeting today afternoon with all NGOs and social health groups working in Bihar. About 2.4 lk people have been rescued from the flood hit districts of Bihar.
