IR Summary

New Delhi, India: August 29, 2008 – IR Summary- National Integration Assembly (NIA) Chairman Dr. Raj Baldev, condemned the indiscriminate murders of the Christian Missionaries in Orissa.

NIA is a world peace mission body and help integrate all communities and nations into a single symbol of harmony and tranquility to respect humanity as a whole, and its delegates including MPs from both Houses, traveled abroad to preach their mission.

While addressing the Executive Committee of the NIA held here today said:

“How unfortunate it is that Sisters and their priest are to flee into the forest to save their lives. Though curfew is clamped but it’s of no use, where’s its respect? The Administration is poorly functioning having no control over the unruly masses, belonging to VHP and its allied factions.

“India’s laws are faulty; they have given extraordinary freedom to different communities on the name of secularism, which is not correct to my mind.”

“The unruly mobs loot the show rooms, shops, destroy public and private property, vehicles, misbehave with other communities and kill the people mercilessly without their fault, wherever they get a chance, but why?

Where’s law in India? The people who are engaged in such violent acts are indeed coward; they can’t face the real culprits and to satisfy their revenge thrust upon the poor, noble and the innocent people. I am really surprised where the high sense of humanity has gone away in India?”

“The strikes and processions should only be conditional and compulsorily peaceful, whosoever creates the violence, the police should be given extra powers to deal with them severely and the Police Generals should exercise their full powers to control such situations and not to let any violence occur at any cost. Unless this rule is adopted, India’s freedom has no meaning; its democracy system is hollow, only it’s a country of a few politicians, who are fooling the public to get votes and power.”

“We are secular country; one community kills the other and vice versa, where’s the respect for other communities? Hindu mobs are reportedly after killing the innocent Christians, why?”

I don’t want to give any comments whether mayhem was being conducted by the right-wing reactionaries in a systematic manner to gain the Hindu vote bank; however, the strategy of votes irrespective of communities, always leads to abuse of powers.

“The main question is where are the BJP and its allies, who give big lectures of secularism and vow to preserve communal harmony?  It shows that BJP is indeed a communal force and its claim to be a secular force is seen no where in Orissa where Anti-Christian violence continues non stop.”

“A house belonging to the Missionaries of Charity, the male branch of Mother Teresa’s order is also attacked by the so-called Hindu.”

“What’s it, let the people judge themselves, where we stand, where our country stands? We are trying to prove to the world a failed nation so far communal harmony is concerned, whether it is one state or the other, whether it is Jammu & Kashmir or Orissa, our heads are down with shame by the violent acts by the hooligans against their own brethren, Dr. Raj Bladev, Cosmo Theorist concluded.”
