WASHINGTON - It is a good news for computer lovers.
As per Associated Press, it says that now the hunted becomes the hunter, when it comes to computer infections.
The program shall now feature monthly updates and it is a step toward plans by the software giant to sell full-blown anti-virus software later this year.
Microsoft's Windows operating system, used in most home and business computers, is often a target of Internet viruses and other kinds of malicious code.
The anti-virus program shall be available starting from Tuesday.
At the same time, Microsoft is offering a free program to remove so-called "spyware" programs that secretly monitor Internet users, slowing down their machines in the process.
