Mumbai: July 21, 2008 - The chocolate faced hero of the current hit Jaane Tu...Jaane Na, Imran Khan is every bit grateful to his mamu Aamir Khan for showing faith in him and the film.

Imran says though his uncle has been an inspiring figure in his life, but Aamir has never given him any 'tips' as it were to succeed as a Bollywood actor.

Writing on Aamir's blog, Imran says, "The question I m asked most frequently (besides will you sing a few lines? ) is usually " What tips did Aamir give you? "

"I always tell them he didn t give me any, which is technically true. He never sat me down and said Come nephew, I shall give you wisdom ."

Imran adds that though Aamir didn't breathe down his throught at all, he has given Imran some important lessons in life by setting himself as an example.

Wrting further Imaran comments, "He has taught me integrity, honesty, courage and grace. Without ever saying a word. He has taught me to stand on my own, and to pick myself up when I fall".

Imran recounts all the fun he has had with his uncle during the making and promotion of his debut film, Jaane Tu...Jaane Na. He fondly remebers how he and Aamir cracked a lot of jokes about one another and he 'ragged AK quite a bit'

Showing his 'love and respect' Imran signs off saying, "This one s for you, mamu . It all started with you thanking your uncle for the faith he had in you. Here s me thanking you for being an inspiration to me, and to more people than you ll ever realize or admit."

Said like a grateful nephew indeed!
