Noida, U.P., India: July 2.2008, IR Summary –Aarushi's murder case - CBI succeeded in getting another extension against Dr. Rajesh Talwar, a prime accused in Noida double murder case of his daughter Aarushi, from the court on Wednesday, who extended his Judicial Custody till July 11, 2008, as sought for by them.
Earlier in his last court hearing, Dr Talwar’s counsel had pleaded on his behalf that he would even shift his residence nearing CBI headquarters, if the probe agency so desired and pleaded no justification to put him behind bars.
Talwar, who was arrested by the Noida police on May 23 had also submitted that there was no question of his running away, he was prepared even to surrender his passport.
The CBI pressed hard that the extension was a must for their investigation while ignoring the plea of the Opposite Council and accepting the request of the CBI, the District and Sessions Judge Narender Kumar Jain turned down the request and dismissed bail application of Mr.Talwar.
India TV released the original first photograph of Aarushi on their channel yesterday, which falsifies many claims of CBI and contradicts all statements given by different alleged accused.
