
May 16, 2008 - HP has announced to roll out two new printers in the Indian market. The new arrivals include the LaserJet 1007 and LaserJet 1008, which offer greater flexibility and productivity.
The new printers are the smallest and most compact laser printers in the market, claims HP. Hence they will useful be for offices or homes having limited space.
Moreover, the LaserJet 1007 and LaserJet 1008 printers feature patented spherically-shaped toner and a redesigned cartridge. The new monochrome toner delivers bold, crisp text and sharper image prints.
The LaserJet P1007 features a print speed of up to 15 ppm while the LaserJet P1008 boasts up to 17 ppm speed. More importantly they deliver a first printed page in less than 8.5 seconds from Powersave mode with the no-wait Instant-on Technology.
“As the market leader in the laser printer category (74% according to IDC Q4, 2007), we believe that we must constantly innovate to meet and surpass customer expectations. The LJ 1007 and LJ 1008 with HP’s new patented Spherical Toner, print speeds of up to 17 ppm and a compact form factor are designed to boost customer delight,” said Ajay Rawal, Country Category Manager, Commercial Volume LaserJets, Imaging and Printing Group, Hewlett-Packard India.
The HP LaserJet 1007 and LaserJet 1008 are available in the Indian market at the prices of Rs 6,699 and Rs 8,299 respectively.
