Can human breathe in present conditions of Mars
MIL/UT, May 13, 2008. Monica Groover

San Diego, California, USA: May 13, 2008 - Monica Groover from San Diego asks Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist from India, whether man’s  breathing is safe on Mars? Whether Man can really breathe in the present conditions of environment over there?

Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist gave his comments as under:

“There are certain groups of people who want to beat Americans in their mission on Mars; they want to achieve the feat first than them. They have risked their life and offered their services to test their abilities of breathing in such conditions as exist on Mars today.

The Russian Scientists have evolved a formula which may do wonder and they are likely to succeed in their experiments and if they do, they may beat the American missions being first.

Monica Groover : What’s that formula, Dr. Raj?

Dr. Raj Baldev: “Certain people are testing their abilities of humans to breathe argon-enriched air with the right portion of oxygen, as part of a research program to simulate a manned trip to Mars.

The Research Scientists are trying an experiment by which humans should be able to  survive breathing air similar to that found on Mars.

One Russian scientist has claimed that their experiments show that argon combined with the right portion of oxygen is safe for humans. He further claims to have tested it on himself and said that he's OK, and volunteers are also doing fine."  This claim is not enough to guarantee their safety.

This is their preliminary research for the Russian Mars 500 project, which will simulate a manned Mars mission next year.

“As per their schedule the people inside will be able to  spend 520 days in a locked bunker-like habitation module, creating an environment like a real mission to Mars, which would take about that same amount of time, with round trip and a month spent on Mars.

For the current research, volunteers stayed inside a sealed capsule for ten days at a time, breathing a combination of argon, nitrogen, and oxygen. The TV news report below seems to advocate this type of research, saying that Western researchers "still use mice" for such experiments.

Especially reassuring is the scientist who keeps telling the test subjects, "Breathe calmly!" Take a look”.
