Indian Cricketer Vijay Hazare passed away after long illness

Baroda - Great Crickert Hazare, 89, died in a hospital in Baroda. Thousands of people attended his funeral procession in Baroda to bid farewell to the country's ex cricket captain who steered India to first test victory.

Vijay Hazare, who captained India to their first test victory over England in 1952, died on Saturday. He was suffering from cancer. Large number of cricket fans and his fellow cricketers were present to pay their last homage to him.

Chandu Borde, former cricket player said that he was his guru. And he learnt a lot from him. His every ball used to be middle of the bat and he used to play so well. His concentration was excellent,

Ranjit Singh Gaekwad, a friend of Vijay Hazare said,. "I remember him not as a cricketer but as a family member. He was a great person." Other Cricket players also paid their gratitude to his great games that Hazare played for the country.
