New Delhi, India: April 16, 2008 – Ed. Rahul Gandhi’s name was deliberately projected by senior Cabinet Ministers at the instance of their top boss even though their boss later on sent a strong message to stop this issue, so as to give an impression that the Ministers initiated the move themselves.
 
Even though the Congress quarters said that the chair of the Prime Minister was not vacant, the issue became more hot.

The clarification has come that no question of vacant seat of the Prime Minister; the projection for Rahul Gandhi is for the upcoming elections where he would be projected as PM candidate for Congress party to give the befitting defeat to LK Advani. 

Even though Mr. Advani is a seasoned national leader, Congress has a definite plan to bring Rahul to beat him.

The Congress leaders feel that whatever Rahul has done in recent days while discovering India and the best possible impression he made in making public contacts particularly with Dalit, can be taken as an inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi,who supported the weaker sections and commanded respect from their community.

Similar situation is repeating in case of Rahul Gandhi, who is doing the best in the changed circumstances.

This aspect of the game has already been supported by many Congress MPs and allied like the NCP and DMK.

Whatever Union Cabinet Minister Arjun Singh or Parnab Mukherjee said is the same thing, they never opposed Manmohan Singh, nor wanted him to vacate his chair for Rahul Gandhi. The issue in point is that Rahul Gandhi would be their PM Candidate of the Congress party in the next elections.
 
There is no embarrassment to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for this planning; even he himself knows the fact tht Rahul will have to come as the PM candidate in the next eletions. As such any sort of criticism against Arjun Singh and any other senior leader was just an eye wash.

The fact remains that Rahul Gandhi is the next PM Candidate and will be projected as such in the next elections, and there are no two more opinions about him. Rahu Gandhi is definitely to be next PM Candidate for Congress, and there is unanimous opinion among all.
