Kajol's father Shomu Mukherjee passes away

Mumbai: April 10, 2008 -The ever so cheerful and chirpy actress Kajol must be in a disconcerting state as her father Shomu Mukherjee passed away in Mumbai on Thursday morning.
On one side she was in a rejoicing mood as her hubby Ajay Devgan's debut directorial venture U ME AUR HUM is about to release. Shomu would have been equally excited to watch his son-in-law's dedicatedly made U ME AUR HUM.
Husband of Tanuja and proud father of Kajol and Tanisha, Shomu Mukherjee was a director and one of Bollywood's major stars of the 60s and 70s. Shomu produced and directed films like CHALIYA BABU, PATTHAR KE INSAAN, LOVER BOY and NANHA SHIKHARI in 1980s. The last film that he directed was SANGDHIL SANAM in 1994. He was also one of the owners of the famous Filmalya studio.
The sudden demise has put the entire family into a mental distress. Glamsham team prays for his soul to rest in peace.
