Solar Energy to be used by Millions in the coming years

According to San Diego Union Tribune" It (Solar energy panels) must give off quite a glare from overhead. But driving through Jim Seley's citrus groves, you'd never know they contain what is billed as the world's largest solar-powered irrigation pumping system.
About the length of a football field, the two rows of photovoltaic panels harness the sun's energy to run a 200-horsepower well pump, which in turn waters 400 acres of grapefruit, lemons, tangerines and oranges, 80 acres at a time.
"This sunshine is creating money if you just use it," said Quentin Kelly, chairman and chief executive officer of New Jersey-based WorldWater & Power Corp. WorldWater designed and developed Seley's system, which has the capacity to power a 600-horsepower pump.
When it's sunny, each of the 1,674 panels at Seley Ranches produces about 160 watts of electricity."
Interestingly there is another solar power in the world. India!
India receives solar energy equivalent to over 5000 trillion kWh/year, which is far more than the total energy consumption of the country. For those of you who are wondering what is Solar energy here is a text book answer " Energy harnessed from sun which is non pollution, readily available in any part of the world where sun shines for a few hours!"
In the next few years it is expected that millions of households in the world will be use solar energy especially as the gas and petrol resources are depleting around the world. South America, India, China are among the forerunners of using solar energy and are developing everything from buildings to cars that run on sun!
