The happenings in Pakistan has deep impact on Indian politics similarly as the new developments in India always influence Pakistan, low or high. The upcoming Lok Sabha Polls may bring big changes in India, though it is more than a year to go.
The assassination of Benazir Bhutto also carries significant effect on the Indian people and their politics. The people also want some sudden changes in the system, wrong or right, it’s their way of thinking.
No single political party holds the majority to run the central govt. in India, they have to depend on the alliance of other groups of parties. Congress has a major alliance with Left, who has let the Congress down in Indo-US Nuke deal. The third alliance looks to be a certainty even earlier than the real date.
The Left party, the main alliance of the UPA is deadly against Congress due to their Nuclear Deal with USA while the Congress is determined to save its face directly or indirectly.
However, Congress and Left parties both want time to gain for elections to take place on time. Neither of the two wants early elections due to a new wave in the State elections.
Both Congress and Left do not want BJP to emerge stronger. But BJP is coming up against their wishes, they won in Gujarat, they won in Himchal Pradesh and they hold high spirits in other states and even started preparation for the Lok Sabha election much before the due date.
The people want change, they are fed of up of the high taxes levied by the UPA Govt. on many heads. Manmohan Singh, however, might be the great economist, the people in India are to go by their own economy and culture for which he is ignorant and so the Finance Minister Chidambran.
The people in India were not at all ready for this sudden change and a big burden of taxes on their shoulders. They are burdened from different angles, different areas.
With due regards for the Judiciary, the people feel that the demolition of traders’ establishments and the source of their livelihood through the court orders has made them financially bankrupt, rather ruined. With the heavy losses in their business houses due to demolitions and big bank loans on them made them to suffer silently and wait for the elections and turn the table.
UPA Govt. wants Delhi to change its map to pave way for the Commonwealth games to take place. People are not against the development of Delhi but the way it was done, the way the demolition orders came up and the way the traders were rendered penniless with no other alternative, is a tragic story of almost every commercial establishment.
Even the authorities that had allowed the traders to establish their shops and show rooms on certain roads with legal licenses were also uprooted. Where is country’s law? Where is Govt. promises? Where is democracy?
All these things look to be highlighted in the speeches. It shall cost heavily to Congress, whatever tall claim they may make, no body can eventually save them. Their banking on Sonia is also a wishful dream, she is unable to create any miracle now?
The CPI(M) is talking informally to several national parties on a possible third alternative, Politburo member Jyoti Basu said on Tuesday, reviving talk of a front strong enough to take on the Congress and the BJP.
The national leaders, who want a separate political party to run the center, include Lalu Prasad Yadav of the RJD and Mulayam Singh Yadav of the Samajwadi Party in the north, Chandrababu Naidu of the TDP in the south and the Left parties.
The above arrangement is real or fake, it shall most likely displace Sonia Gandhi and her dreams of installing her son the chair of PM may get fainter despite any foreign support including Bush Administration.
