OSO girl Deepika dropped from Roshan's film

December 29, 2007 - OSO girl Deepika Padukone has been dropped from Rakesh Roshan's film and he looking for a non-Indian female lead, who is well versed with salsa dance. Roshan's production house and Anurag Basu have been auditioning girls, as per sources.
Sources say that Deepika was not suitable for the role so she was shown the door. When contacted Rakesh Roshan says, "I am in the process of working on a film which will be directed by Anurag Basu. We may work with Deepika for some other film. "Anurag Basu, who is directing the film endorses.
As for Deepika, he says, "Deepika didn't fit the role. We'll definitely work with her in future for some other project. It's quite a complex character and is not suitable for Deepika, so we are looking out for a female lead."
The film is a romantic-action-thriller which will be shot abroad. It is scheduled to go on the floors by March 2008. Apparently, the film is based on Latin dance forms and Hrithik will be seen performing a lot of salsa.
