Hyderabad, India: October 5, 2007 : Hyderabad has proved unlucky for India, it lost to Australia by 47 runs despite magnificent inning of 121 by Yuvraj Singh and took a lead of 2-0 in the series of seven one day matches, India thus lost two matches in a row. The first match was abandoned and the next match shall be played in Chandigarh.
Andrew Symonds made 89 from 67 balls to top-score for the second game in a row and helped his country to pile up a total of 290.
The left-hander hit three sixes and 12 fours to keep Indian hopes alive until he became the eighth batsman out but thereafter India went slow.
When India had lost 8 wickets, Zahir played a very bad shot to give an unexpected, rather suicidal catch on the pitch itself. Harbhajan could do a miracle but his Sreesanth let India down making 1 for 12 and lost his wicket and India went down by 0-2. (IR Summary).
Symonds hit five sixes and five fours and put on a rapid 123-run fourth-wicket partnership with Michael Clarke (59) after opening batsman Matthew Hayden contributed 60.
Yuvraj revived the innings after strike bowler Brett Lee struck two early blows to reduce it to 13 for three, adding 95 runs with Sachin Tendulkar (43) for the fourth wicket and then a racy 65 with skipper Mahendra Dhoni but both fell at crucial moments.
