Bangalore: Octoaber 4, 2007 -  Keeping in view the grave situation and hanging threat for the elections, Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has become panicky, and very late felt  to treat the issue urgently and sort out the controversy immediately, lest it is too late. 

Kumaraswamy, has, therefore, summoned an emergency meeting of the Cabinet on Friday with an agenda of discussing the controversial power-transfer, over which the BJP ministers have already resigned from the Cabinet.

At the same time Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy seems to be double minded whether to quit his chair and transfer the promised power or not. He is trying to find out some excuses to avoid it as much as it can, but time looks to have run out of his hands.

So much so Kumaraswamy, to save his face, would like to has in mind to discuss the issues that prevented him to transfer the powers to the BJP, none knows what his intentions are. He is just in a fix, so he has no other alternative but to transfer the power as promised to the BJP, better he should do it happily and leave the grace. (IR Summary).
 
Sources said  in Bangalore on Thursday that Kumaraswamy intend to discuss the issues that hindered power-transfer to BJP at the meeting and also certain unilateral decisions taken by the saffron party leaders.

At the meeting, the Chief Minister is expected to decide on summoning an emergent session of the state legislatures to seek a floor test, they said.

The sources, however, could not elaborate on the reasons that prompted Kumaraswamy to prove his strength on the floor of the legislature, as there was no demand for it.

Meanwhile, several BJP leaders, including Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa have been camping in Delhi, where the party has summoned its Parliamentary Board meeting to discuss the Karnataka political crisis.

The JD(S) will be holding its Political Affairs Committee conclave to deliberate on power-transfer issue on Friday in in Delhi.

As the JD(S) delayed power-transfer, BJP ministers handed over their resignation letters to Kumaraswamy on October 2, an action which came under sharp attack by the Chief Minister.

The ministers of the saffron party have chosen to stay away from their official work till the impasse is resolved.
