World Twenty20: India win over Pakistan by 5 runs:

MIL/Agencies, Sep 24, 2007

Johannesburg, September 24, 2007 - Gautam Gambhir slammed a rollicking 75 but none of the other Indian batsman go going as Pakistan restricted them to 157 for five in the final of the Twenty20 cricket World Cup here today. India won by 5 runs over Pakistan and became world champion due to their excellent game and also the luck at the last moment.

Congrat to India and Indian Captain and his team, how brilliant they played particularly against Pakistan in the final. Pathan did very well, whereas Harbhajan proved very costly and India at last stage had lost hope to win due to his lose balls.

However, Captain Dhoni did not lose heart, he deployed his strategy and ultimately with the most exciting catch of the match, India won by 5 runs.

Pakistan played extremely well, it was the luck which brought victory to her and at the same India played excellently well, particularly the left-handed Gambhir.

The announcement of special honor for Dhone from his State is really very apt and Dhoni deserves it.
