Australia made 173 for seven in reply to India’s 188. India had won the toss and decided to bat and that the wise decision by Captain Dhoni.
At one stage, it looked as if Australia would be able to achieve the target of 189 but some developments in favor of India made them disappointed in last overs.

In fact, India had placed a big target beyond Australia. However, Matthew Hayden and Andrew Symonds shared a 66-run third wicket stand off only 36 balls.

Overall, it was an exciting game both from Indian and Australian point of view, both played very well, exceedingly well, Australia had no grudge to lose, because they lost to a better team, who performed very high.
