7 Hostages of Ashraf Camp: Iraq openly challenges UN/US on human rights – October 13, 2013 – News n Analysis by Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, on the issue of horrific attack on the residents of Camp Ashraf on September 1st, the fate of 7 hostages and protection of Camp Liberty. What would you like to say about it?
Iraq gave no weight to UN or US who are the main pillars of protecting the human rights in the world. Despite an alert by various NGOs and social bodies submitted to the Secy. Gen. of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon and US President Obama that the Iraqi regime is preparing to massacre the member of Ashraf Camp, nothing happened.
Iraqi Prime Minister accepted the challenge and got 52 innocent refugees of Ashraf Camp killed in Iraq on September 1 and took 7 persons as hostages which include 6 innocent women.
It is really unfortunate the biggest powers like UN and US could not prevent this attack which left 52 dead and made 7 hostages, for no apparent reason except that Iraq cares a damn either for United Nations or the United States!
The Iraqi Prime Minister, Nouri al-Malike, has not obeyed any order either from the UN or US, he has thrown an open challenge to both of them and got 52 innocent recognized refugees of Ashraf Camp killed mercilessly and in a barbarous style despite no reason to do so.
The Iraqi Prime Minister, has not obeyed the international Opinions to release 7 Camp Ashraf massacre from Sept. 1. He has also failed to conduct an independent investigation in this regard.
On the contrary he is leaving Iraq to visit the White House the next week. And now the world joins with the American Public Opinion to ask U.S. President Obama to demand release of the 7 Ashraf hostages before his visit to the White House. The hostages are on hunger strike since Sep. 1.
