Muslim Brotherhood should shun violence and join the Egyptian Govt.- September 2, 2013 – News n Analysis by Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, on the issue of Egypt how could it be peaceful and progress and join the mainstream of inter nationality.
Even A top African Union official made a move on Sunday that Muslim Brotherhood must join the political road map proposed by Egypt’s new authorities so as to end the violence in the country. What do you like to say about it?
Diletta Mohamed Diletta, former premier of Djibouti and member of an African Union panel, currently in Egypt, has unfolded his mind and suggested to the Muslim Brotherhood to review the situation in the country. He said: it was “important and necessary” that the Brotherhood joins the nation’s political process.
“We need to keep negotiating and make it (Brotherhood) understand that it needs to be on board” in implementing the road map detailed by the new authorities after the military’s ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in July.
The transition plan, set up by Egypt’s Interim President Adly Mansour, would may hold parliamentary elections in the coming months, with a presidential vote possible by early next year.
Though the Muslim Brotherhood has rejected the plan, it is advised to review it for the larger interest of the country.
On Sunday Mansour announced a 50-member panel to draw up a revised constitution but without the inclusion of Muslim Brotherhood, it shall carry no meaning.
As per media reports, the African Union, who had suspended Egypt’s membership after Morsi’s ouster, is ready to make a u turn to review the situation and may be ready for talks with political and civil groups.
Diletta said the three-member delegation was “assessing the situation and has talked to the Muslim Brotherhood so that it can explore the situation to join the implementation of the road map.”
“There may be divergent views but nobody rejects” the Brotherhood’s participation in the political roadmap, Diletta said.
“We are trying to encourage them to join in. We met their representatives. The situation has not changed as many of their leaders are in prison,” he said.
The govt. is ready to accommodate Muslim Brotherhood and it is for them to consider the future of the country. Hopefully some change is expected in their policy and they may join the govt.
