Boy in bore-well brought out dead, how negligent act?
MIL/Agencies, Jul 7, 2007.

Jaipur, Rajasthan: July 07, 2007 (Saturday) –The negligence of the authorities who were responsible for taking all precautions while bore-well was being dug have taken the life of Suraj, a small innocent child of six years. He fell in the well while playing, but the authorities as well a the Army failed to recover him alive.

The rescuers were so inefficient that they took three more lives of labours by crushing them in their machine

As per Hospital Deputy Superintendent SS Ranawat, the boy died due to asphyxia. The hospital authorities also feel that the rescuers delayed the recovery and that caused his death of the innocent child. Had he been recovered earlier, he could have been saved.

Suraj was brought dead to the hospital. A team of doctors will, however, carry out a post-mortem to ascertain the exact cause of his death.

No doubnt Jaipur district administration and Army engineers worked for 52 hours and pulled him out late on Friday night, what’s is the result, where is their efficiency and skill to save the life? To pull out a body after 52 hours is not a credit but a discredit on the whole on every body involved in this process.

The state government has announced compensation of Rs 2 lakh for his family but will it be able to wash off the negligence of the authorities and can it fill the gap of death which the family has suffered and shall suffer in future? There should be stringent punishment for those who keep the bore-well unprotected.  The Army should improve their tactics to act in such emergencies.
