Another soldier commits suicide in J&K MIL/Agencies, Jul 3, 2007. Jammu: July 03, 2007 - In yet another suicide by an army personnel, rifleman Vishnu Pratap Singh shot himself dead with his service rifle at Ratnuchak in Jammu last night. Following the incident, the Army has ordered a court of inquiry. There were 31 suicides in the army in 2006 and at least 10 of these were under Northern Command, around Jammu, as per NDTV. Singh's suicide is the second incident in two days in the state. A lady army officer, Capt Megha Razdan, had committed suicide in Jammu allegedly due to work pressure. The young army officer of 113 Engineers regiment hanged herself from the ceiling fan at her official residence in Kunjawani.
