New Development in CRPF Case: March 15, 2013 – News n Analysis by Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, on the latest report which confirmed that the Pakistani militant, who was arrested in connection with the CRPF camp suicide strike, gave an appreciable breakthrough.
He confirmed that it was Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) that had allegedly dropped the two suicide attackers to strike in the outskirts of the city on the day of the attack in Srinagar. What do you say about it?
In a search operation immediately after the incident, the group of the Jammu and Kashmir police was reported to have arrested 22-year-old Zubair alias Abu Tallah alias Riaz from Chattabal area in the outskirts of the city late on Thursday night as per information revealed on Friday.
As per media report, Zubair, who is a resident of Multan in Pakistan, is the second person to be arrested in the attack on the CRPF camp near the Police Public school in Bemina on Wednesday after Bashir alias Haroon Bhai was held hours after the attack.
Media sources further allege that Bashir, who has hailed from Uri along the LoC in Baramulla District, had informed the state police about Zubair’s movements and that is how he was arrested.
During an interrogation, Zubair told the officers that he had dropped the two fidayeens hailing from his country along with Bashir, who was a surrendered militant and it was all at the instance of Lashkar-e-Taiba.
As per police sourece, Zubair had crossed over from Uri in north Kashmir around 30 days ago and was followed by the two fidayeens hailing from Sahiwal and Dera Gazi Khan in Pakistan.
During his night-long interrogation, Zubair, the arrested terrorist, gave details about his recruitment by terror group LeT in Pakistan giving reasons of his extreme poverty.
He is believed to have two sisters and an elder brother in Pakistan, father is working as a farmer, but the whole family is living in a dejected state of poverty.
He also confirmed that he was receuited about 6 months back and was trained like other recruits of LeT . He gave the names of the senior commanders of the organization like Hanzullah and Furqaan.
He was not aware of the two terrorists by name, who had attacked in disguise of Cricket Players, but he confirmed they were from his organization.
If Pakistan is serious in keeping good relations with India, which is beneficial to both of them, it (Pak) must sincerely adopt the course of peace.
