Modi gets new invitation from US to address on Video : March 5, 2013 – News n Analysis by Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, on the alternative offer to Chief Minister Narendra Modi to address the Indian diaspora in the states of Edison among others.
He got an invitation for live speech after being dropped by the Wharton Business School.
Chief Minister Narendra Modi is now likely to address the video conference live from Karnaavati, Ahmedabad, for the benefit of Indian diaspora in the States of Edison, New Jersey, Chicago, Illinois in the United States.
“Narendra Modi shall deliver speech for Edison, New Jersey, Chicago, Illinois on March 09, 2013 from 7-9 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST),” as per a scroll on the website of the Overseas Friends of the BJP USA.
Though Wharton Business School dropped Mr. Modi to have keynote address, the management is still not sure who would replace him.
So far Activist-turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal is concerned, he shall address the event via video conference.
“It has been reported in some sections of the media that I have replaced Mr Narendra Modi. I think this is not correct. I have been in talks with them for the past 15 days. As far as I am concerned, these are two different events,” Mr. Kejriwal said.
Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, and Junior Education Minister Shashi Tharoor were also reportedly approached to attend the conference on March 22-23, organized by the students.
Earlier, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was invited to address and this time too he was invited but he declined.
It is hard luck and disgrace to India that Mr Modi was dropped unceremoniously on Sunday night from the event due to pressure from the prestigious business school’s management and others.
To discharge the obligation of loyalty, the Adani Group, which has its headquarter in Gujarat, withdrew their main sponsorship of the Wharton India Economic Forum.
Most probably the main reason of Mr. Modi’s dropping from addressing the keynote at Wharton was an allegation against him that he had some link with a communal riots.
